Guardian For Heroes continues to proudly serve those who have served us.

Veterans One Stop in Waco, TX is an outstanding resource for the over 5,000 veterans and their families in the Waco and surrounding areas. They provide a wide range of free services to veterans and their families, and they have created a welcoming environment that is building a very strong veteran community in Waco. Guardian For Heroes is honored to be a small part of Veterans One Stop by installing a gym in their building that will be used not just by the veterans but also their family members.

Today we were at Veterans One Stop for the Grand Opening of the gym and the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Jeff Kyle, Executive Chairman, and Jim Finkenkeller, Executive Director, performed the ribbon cutting. We then presented DeLisa Russell, Executive Director of Veterans One Stop, with several Guardian for Heroes (GFH) gifts: a lapel pin, a GFH challenge coin, and a GFH t-shirt.

Said Jim Finkenkeller, “Our mission is to work on the physical side with veterans and their families. It just fit like a glove. It was a need they had and it was a need we filled.” Finkenkeller said this gym is yet another extension of what Chris Kyle started when he originally founded Guardian for Heroes in 2011.
